I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U. Im offering today one of my vintage Artist Made dolls which I think has a such a sweet baby face.

This doll was made by Connie Walser Derek in the 90's which was an excellent doll maker during that era. The wig she had on was very cheap and took away from her gorgeous face and beautiful brown eyes.

I took one of my vintage red baby mohair wigs from the 1980's and put it on her to highlight those big eyes. I put a yellow elastic head band with delicate yellow satin rose off to the side of her wispy hair do. As you can see, the hair band matches the gorgeous yellow antique dress with matching slip she is wearing. This baby doll has delicate finely painted eyebrows which are reddish/brown in color. She has human hair eyelashes on top with hand painted lower lashes.

Her pudgy little cheeks are painted a peachy/pink color which match her precious rosebud shape mouth. She appears to be teething because she has wet look to her lips; you just want to pick her up and squeeze and hug her. She is holding her Boyds pale yellow ducky with yellow bow around his neck which will come along with her. I collect antique baby dresses and this was the one I chose for her to wear. The dress is from the 1940's era and was made in the Philippines. It is pale yellow with delicate hand embroidered flowers around the top of the bodice and center presentation of the dress. She has a peter pan collar which is scalloped and hand embroidered around the edges.

I have put a pale yellow ribbon which goes around the back to hold the neckline close to the dolls neck. The yellow satin ribbon ties in the back and hangs down the back side to give it a sweet look. Under her dress she wears a vintage yellow cotton slip which came with this dress.

The design is not as elaborate as the dress, but is very pretty. She wears pale yellow cotton pants with yellow satin ribbon around the ankles and tie in a bow. Her white booties were hand made for her and each one has a hand crochet yellow and pink flower sitting center front. The booties have yellow satin ribbon which keeps them tight on her feet.

Her body is white muslin and stuffed with heavy cotton. Her head, hands and feet are porcelain.

She is soooo precious and just a beautiful baby doll. The back of her neck is hallmarked and has Connie Walser Derek's signature within the bisque which is done prior to firing.

She has been in my collection for many years and over the course of years I clean my dolls and try to avoid them from ageing by doing so. They are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children..... They are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional. This precious Artist Made doll stands approximately 19" tall and her pale yellow ducky is approximately 8" tall.

I know by the photos, it's hard to believe this doll was made in 1990, but I would consider her in nice condition. She has been well cared for by me with lots of love for many years. I have updated her with expensive mohair wig, antique clothes and hand made booties. She has been dress with much love and care for her new mommy.
