1920-30's Black Silk Chiffon Flapper Dress w Iris Blue Beading / Slip MED
This beautiful flapper dress is made from black silk chiffon. It has a separate slip that is modern but perfect for the dress, made from nylon. It measures 37 1/2 inches around the bust and will stretch a bit, hips are 42 and is 48 inches long. The dress has dolman short sleeves, they are opened along the top seam and tacked in a few places for a cold shoulder look.
The dress snaps closed from the edge of the sleeve to just above the waist on the side seam. The sides are not beaded and have box pleats at the waist on the sides. The front and back are beaded with iridescent Iris blue seed beads with some of the designs in cobalt blue seed beads, there's a little embroidery that fills in some of the designs. It has minor bead loss, mostly on the shoulder, I found 1 small hole at the waist on the side, close to the pleat, also the fabric is pulled away from the neck binding about 1/2 inch by the snaps on the shoulder. I really didn't find any missing beads, but there are a few spots that have loose beads, but the beads are still attached, they just need to be secured to the dress. If there are any missing, it's very, very minor. Dress measures 41 inches around the bust, hips are 44 and is 49 1/2 inches long.If there is any problem with the item, you must contact me within 3 days of receipt. As is items are non refundable.
