3pc Antique Victorian Wedding Dress Slip Skirt White Ruffles Net Lace Top Blouse

This could be worn as a wedding dress, but may have originally been meant to be worn with a bustle. It has lots of sweet details and it is in amazing condition! It is an allover bright white color (my pictures do not do justice). The long sleeved shirtwaist top is pigeon breasted, has pintucks, and has a high neck with boning to help it stay up. The bodice also has boning and there are lots of pleats and a point at the bottom.

The sleeves have ruffled lace edging, and beautiful silk thread covered buttons in a champagne color. There is a wide twill belted attachment sewn into this waist part of the garment that attaches it to the skirt and petticoat.

There is a double layer corset cover type lining inside the shirtwaist that closes in the front with metal hook and eye closures as well as shell mop buttons. The outer lace blouse just has a slit in the front with no closure. The high neck collar wraps around and attaches with a hook and loop in the back. The inner petticoat slip is soft silky cotton, has a train in the back, and has rows and rows of net lace edged ruffles giving it lots of fullness.

It is made of a thinner silky cotton fabric. It gathers in the back to give the train extra fullness. The petticoat and skirt have ribbons attached to the back inside where the belt from the top attaches somehow. These pieces are in great condition! There are minor flaws here and there from age/use like a small seam separation here and there (mostly around the insertion lace) and a slight bit of discoloration from age here and there.

There is nothing detracting that I can see. The petticoat and skirt have been taken up from their original width and could be let back out if need be. I have lightly laundered and line dried these garments just to freshen them up.
