40s Vintage Wedding Gown Liquid Satin Dress Long Train Beaded Top Early 1940s
An absolutely gorgeous wedding gown worn in 1943! The color is a creamy pale ivory that shimmers from every angle!
It's made exceptionally well and is of very high quality! The figure-flattering waist, floral beaded trails on the top and puffed sleeves add a subtle, yet eye-catching femininity to this timeless beauty! Is in very good, durable condition with no holes or tears! There are a few areas of dirt here and there...
I think most will come off... None are noticeable when worn. There is a small area of lipstick on the top of a puffed sleeve where someone must have hugged the bride. It may come out with a gentle spot clean or trip to the dry cleaner. Perhaps odd, but, I think it adds character. The back of the dress has small areas that need a few stitches in a seam. This glamorous gal was stored for over 70 years in a cedar chest (that I now own) and carries the aroma of cedar.... No major issues yet all is always reflected in the start price. It IS vintage so always keep that in mind... There may be light shelf dust and a pinhole or two and a seam that may need to be reinforced. The measurements are across when laid flat.... It's shown on a size 2/4 dress form and fit perfectly! Waist - about 13 inches across.Bust - about 18 inches across (measured underarm to underarm). Hips - loose and open. Length from top shoulder to bottom front is about 56 inches. Length from the back shoulder to the bottom of the train is about 93 inches long. Sleeves - about 17 inches long from underarm seam to interior wrist....
Button up the wrist area. I love to research the items I sell and do my best to describe them but I'm not an expert.
