Antique Child / Doll 3Pc Outfit Circa 1910 Edwardian Dress Slip Bloomers Eyelet

I believe this outfit to have been hers or an older sister's. This precious three-piece ensemble must have been her Edwardian-era dress, slip and bloomers, as they have been lovingly stored away inside a cedar chest for nearly a century!

The dress ensemble has been well cared for as the fabric is still sturdy and pliable. The three pieces have been machine stitched, but the buttonholes are handmade. The little slip has darts along the neckline and the lower section has two rows of pleats that have been basted in place in anticipation that the child would grow and, thereby the slip would "grow" with her.

The little pantaloons are the most fragile, as they are made out of what looks to me to be a lawn fabric. They have a drawstring waist. Please note what appears to be rust stains and numerous small holes in the bloomers. The dress was created by an accomplished seamstress as there are darts, pleats, tucks, and rows of lace netting, eyelet edging, set-in sleeves, etc. The dress, slip and bloomers have yellowed slightly.

Fabric is sturdy, not fragile. Has numerous what appears to be rust and/or age spots. There a tear out of the eyelet trim on the slip. Please take a few moments to study my 12 pictures.

No offensive odors but does have a faint hint of having been stored inside a cedar chest. Handmade buttonholes with dainty pearl buttons. The little bloomers have a drawstring waist. I estimate the size to be approximately 24 months. I do not sell junk.

Unless otherwise noted, this item in very good condition for its age, solid and sturdy with normal signs of aging, use, scratches or imperfections. Very few true antiques are in like-new condition!
