Just awaiting a loving hand to find her & bring her home. Made of fine cotton lawn, soft Valenciennes lace & original light peach silk ribbons. The epitome of Edwardian Grace at it's best. Her silk ribbon is woven through the entire yoke & armholes.At the top of each armhole. At the shoulder are bows still in place for over a century. The chest is adorned with raised panels of floral Ayshire embroidery & petite cut work. The gores run down to meet a lower horizontal panel of the gown which is of a lighter weight cotton. Not certain if this panel is original to the garment due to the even lighter weight of cotton.
Following is a pretty wide band of lace insertion which flows into the lower base hem ruffle of the same. Lawn as the upper gored area of this precious underpinning. She closes in back with 6 original mother of pearl buttons intact on closure placket. Worn most often under a corset to protect the corset.

CONDITION & REMARKS: Good, clean condition in need of repairs. Couple light yellow age marks on frontal area of gown near the waist. Some very small ones, almost pin head size on lower back of gown. Several very small pin head size or slightly larger, holes mainly on the front & left side of gown. Small tear to the lower right of the closure placket on the gore. Will need a few stitches to close. Small tear just above the wide lace lower panel.Few stray/fray threads that will need a clipping. Tear & small holes on the hem ruffle that will need stitching. Some fray edges on silk bows. Separation in lace at left shoulder will need a few stitches to close. If I have missed something, it is because I could not see it.
So double to 37 in. So double to 26+ in. (Might be a bit more room if side sewn tucks are taken out).Length from shoulder to back hem: Approx. Boxes are available at your request.
