Made by the famous house of Dior, as the label indicates (it reads"Christian Dior Paris New York") it was designed during the 1980s, when Marc Bohan (1960-89) had replaced Yves St. Laurent at the helm and after Christian Dior had passed away in 1958. It was an interesting and feminine time period when Lolita fashion trends from Japan were all the rage, woman and teens wore tulle ballet style clothing and lace was again fashionable. It was highly influenced by the "angel prettiness" style along with Victorian, Rococo and Edwardian clothing influences. Think Degas' beautiful innocent ballerinas.
