With lace insets on the sleeves, front bodice from each shoulder down to each armpit, and on center front down to the side seams and around to the back waist. Front has 6 decorative buttons which match the 31 (one is missing) buttons down the back closure. Bodice has tucking to allow for bust. Train at the back, with finger-loop for holding it up. Ballon or juliet sleeve cap. Three snaps at each wrist.Armpit to armpit, across the front, laid flat = 17. Side to side, across the waist, laid flat = 16.5. Center front neckline to hem = 51. Center back to hem = 53. Armpit to armpit, across the front, laid flat = 15.5.
Side to side, across the waist, laid flat = 13. Shoulder seam to wrist = 25.
Armpit seam to wrist = 16.5. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam, across the back, laid flat = 12.Length from center front to bottom hem = 48. Length from center back to end of train = 104. Both pieces have discolored over time, especially at the wrists of the gown, armpits, necklines & bottom hems. One button is missing in the back of the gown. As this was a museum piece, there may be some additional repairs / modifications to the garment.
