Vintage 1920s Dark Blue Cotton Polka Dot Dress and Slip Deco Print Day Dress
Vintage 1920s dark blue and white dotted cotton dress, printed with pairs of patterned toffee brown dots, with attached waist tie. Great details, including triangular button tabs along collar and skirt sides, and at sleeve cuffs. Dress is without a side opening.
Includes a dark blue satin stripe cotton slip that was found with the dress - not an exact color match, but close. Drop waist - 44.5", at 22" from shoulder. Neckline to sleeve cuff - 12.5.
Upper bust / across top edge - 36.5", 4.5" from shoulder (straps are fairly short). Drop waist - 42.5", at 19" from shoulder. Condition - In very nice condition, structurally sound and wearable, with only minor surface flaws. There are some small faint spots and a couple smudges to bodice front (see photo), a couple insignificant spots at lower skirt, and a little 1/2 tear along front hem seam.
Slip has a couple spots on lower skirt and some small faint stains, mostly along hem edge. Both pieces have been gently cleaned to remove light soiling from storage, but no stain treatment has been attempted.The set retains a light storage odor from the trunk in which it was stored, but is without any moth ball, mildew, or other offensive odors. There are a couple unused buttons along inside of neckline that likely would have held a decorative lace or contrasting fabric insert. All items are carefully inspected prior to listing and my customer's satisfaction is important to me. I'm happy to answer any questions or supply additional photos if needed.
