Vintage 1920s Dress Silk Chiffon + Gloves + Slip
This art deco 1920s silk chiffon gown is stunning. The dress comes with matching silk and crocheted long gloves, a cap for the head and an under slip in heavy blue colored silk.
The outfit is ultra art deco!! The dress is decorated with huge peach colored silk multi layered flowers on the bodice, and it has 38 long ties that end in a ruffle.
The silk chiffon is a delicate baby blue color, and the fabric has been cut on the bias so there are a couple of inches of stretch to hug the curves. The sleeves are sewn in three layers making fluttering ruffles totally covering the top 1/3rd of the arms.
The condition is very good for a l00 year old dress. There are no rips or tears or holes, or pics or pulls. There are three spots to point out. One is at the neckline.
It is organic and should oxyclean out. The other two are very tiny and light on the skirt and are not seen unless you search to find them. The under arms are good with just a hint of color and one has two 1/8th shreds in the silk. They are tiny and will not be seen either.
Just the spot at the neckline needs attention. I laundered the beautiful gloves, and they came out perfectly clean so I would expect the same result with attention to the spot at the neckline of the dress. I did not launder the little silk chiffon matching cap for the head which is included, and I did not photograph it. It is in good condition with no holes or rips or stains. The only label attached to the outfit is sewn on the cap.It reads: "Bullocks Los Angeles". The measurements of the gown taken laid flat and measured straight across are as follows. Shoulder to waist 14 1/2. Waist to hem 40 1/2. The measurements of the under slip match the dress except for the length.
It is, of course an inch shorter.
