Vintage 1930's Silk & Rayon Satin Lace BIAS CUT Bridal Slip Nightgown Dress
2 Labels : " Bemberg Silk & Rayon; "Dashin Deb Undies. This gorgeous full length nightgown from the 1930s features a bias cut siren silhouette, a gathered & full bust under a square neckline, and a plunging v shaped back. The body of the piece is a smooth and slippery ivory (near white) satin.
White ruffled Chantilly lace trims all of the edges and is used for a long triangular insert on the skirt. Yellow & white ribbon in small buds further embellish the piece.The bodice has sheering below the shoulders, short puff sleeves with vents under the arms and more embroidered lace trim. The skirt falls narrowly below the bust line. Two long satin ties are attached here & join in the back.
The gown has a comfortable pull over style, is free of hooks and other constrictions. The satin & lace fabrics are super clean, dust & odor free. (please see my terms below).This vintage nightdress is in excellent condition, with just a few things to note: There are three pin pricks on the sleeves of the bodice (See picture 10). Otherwise, the piece reflects very gentle wear and excellent storage. Pictures show close ups of the bodice & an underarmrevealing the vents and very nice condition. This glamorous vintage gown is a fabulous find indeed and ready for you to enjoy, wear and incorporate into your collection at once. (I would call this a small).
56" - 58" length front to back. Near perfect; no visible flaws or signs of wear. Easily repairable minor damage; much is pristine.Basically solid and intact, some repairs may be needed. Obvious damage with difficult repairs needed.
