Madame Alexander Cissy doll dress, circa 1957. The dress comes with a lace slip and panties. The polished cotton dress is tagged and the material has the harder to find "olive bird print" pattern.

Both the dress and slip can be seen on page 63 of the book, "The Cissy Files" by Kiley Ruwe Shaw. The detachable flower at the waist came with the dress, though it may be a replacement and thus not original. All dress snaps are present and in working order. Dress Condition: Not for the picky collector but great for someone who knows (and is willing) to do some restoration work.

The organdy sleeves and sash have age and/or soil related darkening/yellowing. The elastic around the sleeve openings has lost the elasticity. The dress material looks nice with the exception of 2 stains about 1 1/2 above the hem in front.

One stain is small (about 3/8" long) and the other is tiny (about 1/8" or less). The stains are next to one another and a close-up of them can be seen in the 9th picture.

Cleaning may be necessary or desired. Slip & Panties Condition: The panties have a couple of small to tiny stains. The elastic waistbands on both the panties and the slip have stretched out and no longer fit snugly on a doll. It appears to me that the lace of the slip has been rather crudely mended in one area, just below the waistband (see last pic). The vintage toys/items/dolls that I sell are NOT for children. Graphics by Andy's Place. I just re-examined the Tiny Tears doll in bright sunlight and did find some tiny spots here and there. Please keep in mine that I cannot see her backside nor can I state what she looks like under her romper. The robe looks like it may have a small degree of yellowing on the sleeves and top portion.
