I picked up this beautiful antique piece in Barcelona. Although technically a slip, I used it as a dress for the registry office bit of my wedding. Featuring an almost sheer lace top thats blended with the pure silk part of the dress by delicate appliqué. The lower 5inches of the skirt mirrors this lace and it falls just above the knee. The ruffles on the bust and hem are also pure sheer silk and the straps are gathered every half a cm - such incredible detail, someone must have spent weeks making this! Its around a size 10, I was a 6-8 in the picture and it was fairly loose fitting. In fantastic condition for its age, the only thing to report is a slight 5mm tear in the waist dart, though this is hardly visible, easily fixed and not noticeable when on.
