Vtg Y2K Bias Cut Maxi Dress 100% Silk Slip Olive Green Beaded UK 6 8 Cami Fairy. Stunning vintage 2000s bias dress. No closure - goes on over the head.
Labelled as a size 6 - I'm unsure if this is a UK 6 or US 6 however, but from the fit and measurements it would be best for a UK 6, but would likely fit a UK 8 also. Very good condition, no marks or stains - just a few minor flaws as shown.
At the bottom hem on the extra frills there is a tear in the silk, a pinprick hole, and some loose stitching to a couple of the seams (all shown). A few areas of loose beading as shown but this is expected with this kind of vintage dress, only minor however. Slight pulling to the corner seams near the bottom of the dress as shown. Small pull to the seam on the extra frill fabric near the bust as shown. All minor in my opinion and don't detract from the dress at all!
Measurements have been taken with the dress inside out using the slip to measure from - I find this to be much more accurate with bias cut dresses! Length 63" at longest point 54" shortest. Chest 15 1/2" (31" total) - some give/will stretch. Waist 13" (26" total) some give/will stretch. Hips 18" (36" total) some give/will stretch.The slip is stretchy and so has give and will stretch, the top silk layer will not stretch - however due to being bias cut has a bit of extra room - therefore the dress will allow room for most likely a couple of inches extra than the measurements.
